Her Story
Mrs. Sophiya Warraich’s journey into philanthropy began long before she assumed any formal role. She grew up watching her father, Major (Retd.) Rasheed Warraich, a respected philanthropist in his own right, dedicate his life to serving others. He would personally distribute meals to laborers at Chaburji and other gathering points where daily wage workers came in search of work.
As a child, Mrs. Sophiya Warraich witnessed these acts of quiet generosity, men who had worked all day leaving with food and dignity because of her father’s compassion. These early experiences shaped her worldview, teaching her that leadership is not about power, but about service, kindness, and responsibility to those in need.
It was within this atmosphere of empathy and social responsibility that Mrs. Sophiya Warraich’s own commitment to humanitarian service took root. Over time, guided by her training in psychology and her inherited sense of duty, she chose to carry forward this legacy of compassion with renewed energy and vision.

Leadership & Roles
Mrs. Sophiya Warraich serves as the Chairperson of Almarah Foundation, where her leadership has shaped impactful initiatives for children and communities. She began with three core projects, Parent an Orphan, Educate Pakistan, and Feed the Hungry addressing the most urgent needs of vulnerable families. Building on this foundation, she later introduced the Compassionate Haven for Special Kids, offering therapy and developmental support, and the Almarah IT Hub, equipping youth with essential digital skills for the future.
Looking ahead, she is developing a state-of-the-art Children’s Complex, a holistic space designed to provide education, care, therapy, and skill development under one roof a model of dignity-driven, future-focused social service.
